Old Business:

    • Sail the Bay Registration is now online
    • Doc Taylor’s has committed to host the Sail the Bay Party

 

New Business:

  • Next meeting will be May 7, 2008.
  • Rappahannock Rivah Regatta is May 3 & 4th.  Hobie Fleet 32 is hosting advertising.
    • Remaining proceeds from the regatta may come back to Hobie Fleet 32
  • Trophies
    • The fleet members present agreed on sail format proposed by Dan Berger the trophies will bear a multi-colored mainsail with a solid color jib.  The plaques will be made by John Klavenski
  • Trailer
    • It has been brought to the fleet’s attention that we are in desperate need of a new fleet trailer.  Jason DiPietro brought in several advertisements for used trailers that we could purchase to replace our aging trailer.
    • It was voted on to purchase a new tire and wiring kit to keep the existing trailer in legal operating condition
    • Ann Fox suggested a fundraiser to raise funds for the purchase of a new trailer
    • It was also suggested that we could sell advertising space on the exterior of the trailer to mitigate the cost of the trailer.
  • Sail the Bay Regatta
    • Jerry Pattenaude said there will be a small Shark presence this year, their mid-winters have been moved to another location
    • Kevin Baum is trying to recruit A-Cats from the Northern Bay to join us for Sail the Bay.  The A-Cat fleet is in need of a new location to host events and has approached Kevin hoping that Hobie Fleet 32 could accommodate
