This year we have moved the regatta to a beautiful private waterfront site slightly down river from previous regatta site in Tappahannock, Va. Plenty of room for camping! Electricity, primitive “facilities” and a hot shower are available. Come see this ideal sailing site!

        Awards to follow racing immediately ashore
 Registration 
Registration fee includes- Camping, regatta and BBQ dinner tickets (regatta participants). John Remington will be back again this year to smoke his delicious BBQ on-site! Registrations received after 4/19/2008 will add $10.00. Refunds will be offered if the event should be cancelled due to inclement weather.
 
 Lodging 
  Camping:  Plenty of room on-site to bring your tent or RV! Bring your own shade, bicycles, chairs and kayaks to explore nearby waterways!

 Scoring 
The regatta is open to all multihull sailboats up to 21’ in length. A minimum of 3 registered boats will constitute a one-design class. All other boats will compete in an open class, handicapped by current US Sailing Council Portsmouth Numbers. Personal boat and liability insurance is required. All participants are required to wear U.S.C.G. approved PFDs.
 
 Directions 
  From Richmond & points north Take I-64 East to Route 360 East (Mechanicsville I-64 exit #192 or I-295 exit #37). Follow Route 360 East through Tappahannock. Turn R and follow Rt. 360 across the river through Warsaw. Turn R on Rt. 3 and continue 11.9 miles. Turn R on Rt. 608 (Farnham Creek Rd). Go 1.2 miles and turn L on Rt. 647 (Hales Point Rd). Go 2.4 miles and bear R on Laurel Grove Rd. Continue 200’ and bear L on Rt. 609 (Mothershead Neck Rd.). Continue 1 mile. Our drive is the first on the L after the curve in the road near the river.
 
  From Tidwater & Middle Peninsula Take I-64 West to Route 17 North exit. Follow Route 17 North 23.7 miles. Bear R on US-17 N (Main St) and go 1.3 miles. Turn R onto VA-14 E (John Clayton Memorial HWY) and go 6.4 miles. Turn L onto VA-3 (Windsor RD) and go 2.1 miles. Turn R onto VA-3 and continue 1.6 miles. Turn L onto VA-3 and go 8.1 miles. Turn R on VA-3 and across the Norris Bridge. From the bridge continue on Rt. 3 ~21 miles. Turn L on Rt 608 (Farnham Creek Rd). Go 1.2 miles and turn L on Rt. 647 (Hales Point Rd). Go 2.4 miles and bear R on Laurel Grove Rd. Continue 200’ and bear L on Rt.609 (Mothershead Neck Rd.). Continue 1 mile. Our drive is the first on the L after the curve in the road near the river.

In consideration of this Entry acceptance, I hereby agree that the safety of my boat and her crew, and the decision whether or not to start or continue to race is my responsibility and not that of any person sponsoring or undertaking such race or activity. I hereby waive all claims which I may have against the organizers or agents of the event arising out of or in any way connected with my participation in any race or related activity sponsored or undertaken by any of them. I will inform all crew members of any boat which I sail in any such race or activity of their responsibility for safety. I agree that this waiver is binding on my heirs, representatives, successors, and assignees. I accept that I will race under the rules as sanctioned by US Sailing, that I am in complete compliance with all safety requirements and that if the above is contested and found to be incorrect, my racing will be invalid and I will be disqualified without refund of my registration fee.
